Singing Our Grief

  • The Living Room, Durham North Carolina (map)

Are you grieving, too? Maybe your grief is coming from a personal experience, a loss, a change. Maybe it’s coming from bearing witness to the suffering of our beloved fellow humans. Maybe your grief is heavy in this season, coming from many places at once. One way to move with our grief is through creative expression in loving community. With this in mind and heart, Michelle C. Johnson and Becca McDaniel are joining to share Singing Our Grief, an experience focused on tending to our hearts by opening the throat and heart chakras and building community through sharing song, tears, and laughter.

Join us for an opportunity to drop into community, and center yourself through meditation, journaling, self-reflection, and call-and-response singing. You do not have to identify as a singer to participate in Singing Our Grief. We are all singers and songwriters.

Donation Based

We are offering this by donation. You may have an organization or community you wish to donate to, and we encourage you to make a meaningful contribution in honor of what you and we are grieving. If you wish to bring a donation to the workshop, we will gladly donate to Palestine Children's Relief Fund

The space capacity for this offering is 15-18 people.
