These are uncertain and heartbreaking times meant to make us feel overwhelmed and immobilized. Part of what dominant culture does is encourage us to push through, rather than feel and move through. Today, our practice is to understand what culture is made of, how toxic it can be, and to honor our feelings and the grief that comes from being alive at this time. Unprocessed grief leads to more individual and collective suffering. We cannot truly cultivate conditions for liberation to occur unless we process our grief.
Over the course of 20+ interviews with change-makers, activists, yoga teachers, and spiritual leaders, we’ll explore conversation about grief, its definition, the lessons we’ve learned, collective liberation, rituals and practices, and more.
The FREE Healing in Community Online Summit began in January 2020 with three weekly interview releases and expanded into a mini-series to explore the specific topic of Grief and Covid-19. All interviews are now available for those who are interested in a place for community, support, inspiration, and thoughtful engagement with the human experience of grief and the experience of liberation so we can individually and collectively move and be moved rather than push through.
In solidarity,
