Finding Refuge in the fray - Amplify and Activate

Many of us have been searching for ways to find refuge during the onslaught of trauma from our experience with and of Covid-19 and the heightened awareness of how white supremacy and systems of oppression harm us all but disparately. These collective experiences of trauma mean that many of us are holding onto deep grief, searching for refuge, and seeking a pathway back to joy and resilience. We live in a culture that, in large part, doesn’t make space for us to process our grief, and if we do have space to do so often, we process privately, not in community. This workshop is designed for us to turn toward our grief individually and collectively. It will be an opportunity for us to reflect on how our hearts are doing at this time. We will not only explore grief and how we are holding it physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually; in addition, we will engage in practices intended to heal our hearts. It will include meditation, asana practice, journaling, ritual, and large and small group discussions.
